Why we exist

Consistency is the wedge.

Fareway started with a simple observation: the venues that win with leagues are the ones where league night runs the same every week, no matter who is on shift. Most golf software either charges a big flat fee up front or leaves the hard parts — scoring, dues, standings, payouts — to a spreadsheet and a group text.

We built Fareway to make a great league night the default, not a heroic effort. Set the format once and the program runs itself — and because you pay per registration, the cost scales with the golfers who actually show up. That is the wedge: consistency for the operator, a clean experience for the golfer, and pricing that does not punish a slow season.

How we price

Pay for what you run.

We charge per registration — not a flat annual license. If you run three leagues, you pay for three leagues; if you run thirty, the per-registration rate drops with volume. Only non-cancelled registrations are ever billed.

The same transparency runs through Global Tournaments: they are free to the operator, and when there is a prize pool, 85% goes to winners and 15% to Fareway. We would rather state that plainly than bury it.

Fareway is built by a small team of golfers and software people who got tired of running leagues out of spreadsheets. We are based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Named team profiles will appear here as we add them — we would rather leave this honest than fill it with placeholder people.
